Oval design and configuration for dual exhaust pipes
The main special feature of GON-100EG lies in its evolved shape. It is an oval rubber nozzle, characterised by a suction head measuring 210 x 105 mm.
This shape is designed to interface perfectly with exhaust tailpipes built into the bumper, which are increasingly common on sedans and SUVs. Moreover they often feature a dual exhaust with wide and oval pipes.
In this context, the "GON-100EG nozzle is normally used in pairs via a Y-connector. This configuration allows the two tailpipes, which are located on opposite sides of the bumper, to be attached at the same time, ensuring that exhaust gas extraction is total and balanced.
Internal grabber system: stability and protection
One of the most remarkable technical aspects of this product is its fastening system: unlike solutions that attach externally to the exhaust pipe, GON-100EG is equipped with an internal expansion clamp.
This mechanism offers two immediate operational advantages:
- It respects the vehicle: Since the coupling is inside the exhaust pipe, there is no risk of scratching or damaging the outer chrome-plating or paint of the bumper.
2. Guaranteed stability: The clamp uses a spring system that ensures a firm grip. The presence of specific 'teeth' allows the nozzle to anchor itself firmly inside the terminal, preventing it from slipping out due to engine vibration.
Tightness and safety: valve and safety net
The construction quality of the extraction nozzles is also measured by the active and passive safety that they offer the system. GON-100EG incorporates a fully hermetic shut-off valve thanks to the viton seal.
When the valve is closed, the tightness optimises the vacuum of the centralised system.
When open, on the other hand, the system reveals a crucial detail: built-in protective mesh.
This barrier is essential in preventing foreign bodies from entering the extraction system.
The use of viton in the seal avoids the use of silicone and provides exceptional resistance to high exhaust temperatures, superior to standard rubber.
Ergonomics and 32mm opening for the opacimeter probe
In addition to performance, GON-100EG has been developed with practicality in mind. The product is very light, reducing operator fatigue, and features a 30° bend with a connection pipe for smooth connection to the hose even when the muffler is under the vehicle.
Special attention was paid to diagnostics: on the back of the nozzle is a specific 32 mm opening. This opening is sized for the insertion of the opacimeter extraction probe.
Thanks to this solution, the operator can insert the probe directly into the gas flow without having to remove the nozzle, keeping the work environment protected from toxic fumes during the entire analysis procedure.
