Exhaust systems have to extract harmful substances by conveying the gases from the exhaust point (the muffler) to the outside, in order to maintain the working environment healthy.

The main feature of fixed systems is that they require permanent installation. These systems involve one or more hoses equipped with a fan through which the exhaust gas is extracted and conveyed to the outside.
They are highly recommended for specific area dedicated to vehicles inspection/repair.
Sliding systems As not all the engines of the vehicles in the workshop will be started at the same time, a pair of sliding elements can cover many work areas by being slided to the required working place. They consist of an aluminium extractor rail on which the sliding elements run that can cover several working area: hose-holding trolleys, hose reels, and the GTL arm .
When the extraction is not needed, one of the sliding system main advantages is that technicians can keep working above the area without creating an obstacle or hindering work; all the sliding elements (trolley, hoe reels or GTL arm) can be moved along the channel, where extraction is needed, thus optimizing the available space.
The underfloor system involves a fixed piping system housed under the floor.

The exhaust fan is an important part of the system, and choosing the right model of exhaust fan is essential to having an efficient and functional exhaust system.
To make the operation of the vacuum system more functional and faster, vacuum cleaners can be connected to switchboards enabled to remotely receive the on/off command. This can be done via microswitches on reels or via remote controls, significantly optimizing the work of operators.
The pipes are used to convey the gases drawn from the muffler to the exhaust fan and then to the outside.

Flexible hoses are to be connected to the nozzles and exist in different versions (resistant to various temperatures from 200°C up to 1000°C) and in various diameters. The flexible hoses are connected on one side to the nozzles (there are also various models of the nozzles)
The arm with touchless technology is a self-supporting arm supported by a sophisticated system of springs and clutches, which allows it to be positioned behind the vehicles muffler without touching it.
GTL arms can be tailored to serve a specific working area (stationary version for wall or high level mounting) or to cover multiple working bays (sliding track version).
This is a universal solution, which eliminates the need for specific nozzles. This means a significant saving on adapters costs, which then become unnecessary.
The exhaust gas, leaving the muffler, are collected inside the vents, then conveyed on the exhaust fan.
The vents are fitted on the vehicle muffler or close to it (e.g. GYNMA version that is mounted in a trolley). The vents have to be connected to the hoses on one side and to the vehicle muffler on the other, to extract the gases and ensure that the working environment is not contaminated. The mufflers of different vehicles have very different sizes and shapes, which means that the nozzles must also have different shapes and sizes to suit the mufflers and the main vehicle models.
